Young creative digital native. 3+ international work experience in customer-facing roles. Graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Communications from the University of Melbourne. Part-time electronic music producer Sarawakian-born, American-raised. Part-time skateboarder, full-time UX designer. I'm passionate about making a positive difference in people's lives through my creative work and hopefully leave behind a legacy to inspire others in the future.

I come from a bartending background, so taking care of customers was my number one priority and I'm naturally good at empathising with and reading people. At my first job, I started off work as a barhand and worked my way up to bartender at a rooftop bar in Melbourne city within a year. We catered to crowds of over 200 pax on any given weekend, so I was responsible for taking care of a diverse crowd, from high-powered hedge fund managers to lawyers, bankers, the police force, and blue-collar tradesmen. I already have the most important skill for any designer: The ability to read people, connect with them and cater to their needs.
After that, I worked as a sales agent selling electricity over the phone to strangers. I constantly had to persuade and build rapport with hundreds of different personalities day-in and day-out, having to memorize each of their names and unique stories, which I did for over a year. In sales, confidence is everything. Your customers are only as confident in your product as you are, so sell them your confidence.
Overall, these previous jobs required me to have a high level of emotional intelligence. which allowed me to gain invaluable insights into human behaviour as well as boost my creative problem-solving skills along the way.
